Alyssa Chimiklis, PhD
You already know something feels off. Maybe meals have become stressful, your teen is withdrawing, exercise has become rigid, or food and body image are beginning to take over daily life. You may feel exhausted, worried, and unsure how to help — even after trying everything you can think of.
You do not have to navigate this alone.
I specialize in eating disorders and adolescent mental health, understanding that eating disorders rarely exist in isolation and are often connected with anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, or difficulties with emotional regulation. I work with teens, young adults, and families using evidence-based treatments while also recognizing the importance of individualized, whole-person care, including mindfulness and functional psychiatry-informed perspectives when appropriate.
Areas of Specialization
• Eating disorders and disordered eating
• Family-Based Treatment (FBT)
• Parent support and family collaboration
• ADHD and executive functioning challenges
• Anxiety, trauma, and emotional regulation
Recovery does not only happen in a therapy office. It happens during meals, in conversations at home, at school, and within the everyday moments that shape a young person’s life. My goal is to help families feel supported, informed, and empowered throughout the recovery process.
